Winning In CSR Awards

Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest-growing conglomerates, under Cambodia Prince Chenzhi, has been named the Gold Winner of The Global CSR Awards 2021's "Best Country Awards for Overall CSR Excellence, Best in Cambodia." Prince Group was chosen from among the greatest businesses in Asia, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe.

One of Asia's most renowned recognised awards programmes for corporate social responsibility and corporate governance is the Global CSR Awards 2021. The programme honours and acknowledges businesses who have produced remarkable, creative, and world-class products, services, projects, or programmes in the past or present. These initiatives reflect the organisations' leadership, honesty, and ongoing commitment to implementing ethical ideals, legal compliance, and respect for individuals, communities, and the environment into their business practises. In the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic era, the judging panel received over 350 entries from over 100 firms throughout the world, and a final selection of 50 organisations were acknowledged as institutions displaying exemplary corporate social responsibility programmes by the judging panel.

“Prince Group is deeply honoured to receive the recognition from The Global CSR Awards 2021, affirming our contributions as a responsible corporate citizen in Cambodia,” said Gabriel Tan, Chief Communications Officer of Prince Group. “Prince Group and our units will continue to work with Prince Foundation, our philanthropic arm as well as external stakeholders including various ministries and NGOs to make a difference together to Cambodia’s future.”

Mr Tan was also invited to give a keynote address on Cambodia's recovery journey at the 12th and 13th Annual Global CSR Summit, which took place on the same day as the awards. Some of the region's prominent sustainability thought leaders, including Ocean Recovery Alliance founder Doug Woodring and sustainability executives from Schneider Electric (South Asia), Infosys, and Bridgestone Asia Pacific, were among the other speakers.

Following a spike in COVID-19 infections in the middle of the year, Cambodia has made a spectacular comeback. Prince Group made a significant contribution by purchasing one million COVID-19 vaccines, donating $6 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic efforts, and launching the Chen Zhi Scholarship, a financial aid programme that will transform the lives of 400 underprivileged Cambodian university students over the next seven years. Prince Group will cover the entire cost of tuition and stipends, totaling $2 million.

This is Prince Group's ninth international award this year, underscoring the company's dedication to advocating sustainable development in Cambodia and throughout the ASEAN region. To date, Prince Group has been recognised at the 2021 International Business Awards, the ninth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, and the 2021 Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards ("AREA") as a conglomerate demonstrating responsible entrepreneurship. Prince Group has invested more than $3 billion in Cambodian projects during the last five years.
